The Okanagan is really very close to Vancouver. What may seem like eons away is really only a few hours drive from the bustle of the city. This past weekend we made the four hour drive east to Oliver BC for a weekend of Wining and Dining. On tour of the top wineries BC’s Okanagan has to offer here is a visual run-down of what the weekend entailed. The wineries in question span between Oliver and Osoyoos where dozens of vineyards are each taking part in the wine boom.
As a child the Okanagan seemed as if it was a world away. Over mountains, across streams and in a foreign world lies the mysterious Okanagan. Or, in a more mature point of view it is about a 4 hour drive. As a quick escape the towns of Oliver, Pentiction, Osoyoos and others make a great weekend getaway where you can enjoy lakes, sunny skies and of course delicious BC wine. That was just the plan a few weeks back and here are a few photos from that endeavor.
Took a quick trip away from the city for the past few days to the Okanagan with Kelly. Wine, sun, stars and the lake/river to relax in. Great way to spend a few days. This was also a perfect opportunity to do a little bit of time lapse. There are a few stills here from said project but no video as that is to come. Still thinking about the whole summer recap video so there are some clips in the works. Here are a few shots though from the weekend. These are all from the Penticton, Oliver and Osoyoos areas of the Okanagan.
