The Buzz around the Watercooler is 650B

0

I have been testing out different iterations of 650B prototype mountain bikes for the past 8 months or so and I will be the first to admit that I was a bit hesitant at first. That said, having gone back and forth between 26″ 27.5″ and 29″ for my “aggressive trail’ nature the middle option seems faster in pretty much every imaginable circumstance.

Here is a short POV video that I put together from a ride over the weekend. Fast and efficient on the ups, downs and everywhere in between.

A Hike around Buntzen Lake

0

Buntzen lake is located in Port Moody BC. It is a great summer retreat away from the city without really going all that far. There is a hike around the lake that is about 8km long and is not too challenging. There is a beach half way around as well that is generally much quieter than the one closer to the park entrance.

The hike is a great way to spend a sunny day and taking a dip in the lake is very refreshing.

I thought spring was here, apparently I was wrong.

Coming up to the end of February, it seemed to me that Spring was close. It was getting warmer, flowers were starting to sprout and the days were seeming longer. With that in mind, the bike came out and was ready to spring into the season. But… then it started snowing, raining, freezing and getting pretty much miserable. Oh well, any day on the bike is a good one right?
