Well, I started this blog off as a means of self advancement, improvement and as simply something to do. With the grand idea of making a daily post for an entire year My sights were sky high. And… Then…. I fell flat on my face. I made it around half way through the year before I was too busy, to far away or simply not motivated enough to continue. Well, rather than totally giving up, the blog had a re-birth. Now a photographic summary of adventures that I have taken the blog has a evolved into something that you may find complete dribble. I hope not though…
Over the past year, I have been to Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and the Yukon. I even made it all the way to Australia at one point. It has been a great year for myself, my photography and my guilty pleasure – Mountain Biking. If you have followed the blog, what was your favorite post of the year? What was your favorite photo? Here are a few highlights of my year in review in no particular order. I hope you can gain just a fraction of the enjoyment that I got out of the experiences, people and places in these photos.

I head on down to Yaletown’s Livecity venue recently for a free Olympic concert. This is Sam Roberts and Max of The Arkells singing. Great Concert! Can’t wait to go back on Wednesday for Damian Marley.
Here is another firework shot from the opening ceremonies. Yesterday’s photo was taken with a 10-22 mm lens while this was with a 50mm. Two very similar shots that turned out quite differently.
The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games Opening Cerimonies were incredible. it was an incredible event finished with Wayne Gretsky lighting the olympic torch. The first photo for today is of the torch, the second the spectacular fireworks afterwards. The event was so good that I will be honest… You may see a couple more photos this week from the show!
Today is the Opening ceremonies for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. There may be some controversy over the whole event but really, Vancouver is a beautiful city, Whistler is an amazing ski resort and all in all, I am excited to see the whole thing kick off. This photo is a stitch from Stanley Park.
This is a night shot of Vancouver from the incredible Cypress Mountain Lookout. If you look closely you can spot the Olympic Rings peeking out from behind the trees in Stanley Park.
With the Vancouver Winter Olympics kicking off this Friday we are all still thinking about skiing, toboggoning, snowball fights and Ice Skating. No wait… It is February and the flowers in my backyard are blooming.
