On my recent trip to support the Quebec edition of the Ride To Conquer Cancer there was a small bit of time aside from the event. Flying into Montreal then following the event as it made its way to Quebec City I found myself in both areas with enough time to snap a few pictures and see a small selection of the tourist sights. Only a taste of Canada’s oldest cities but enough to know that at some point I will need to touch up on my french and make way back for a longer visit.
Things have been quiet lately. In relative inactivity I have completed my first game of Super-Scrabble. As you may guess, this is like scrabble only bigger, better and more bad-ass. looking back at the board though, we have a few ‘questionable’ words. Either way… pretty fun game. In celebration of a verbose win the sun came out for an hour or so and allowed for a photo.
Hopefully there will be more to post soon.
Buntzen lake is located in Port Moody BC. It is a great summer retreat away from the city without really going all that far. There is a hike around the lake that is about 8km long and is not too challenging. There is a beach half way around as well that is generally much quieter than the one closer to the park entrance.
The hike is a great way to spend a sunny day and taking a dip in the lake is very refreshing.
This is a night shot of Vancouver from the incredible Cypress Mountain Lookout. If you look closely you can spot the Olympic Rings peeking out from behind the trees in Stanley Park.
